Technology! Sorry, about the first e-mail you received. It was a system error.
At any rate, hello there! It's been a while. To say the least, 2020 has been quite a year so far. Both social and economic upheaval have changed how we should be talking and thinking about how to move forward.
A lot of the underlying issues have been bought to the surface and can no longer be ignored. Whether we are talking about systemic racism or the financial impact COVID-19 has had on individuals, families and businesses, it's time to rethink both our policy making and financial decisions.
As you know, my work is rooted in helping people reach their financial goals by understanding their relationship with money. While I've been home quarantining and practicing social distancing, I have been praying a lot about where do I go from here, with the work I am doing. And, what I know for sure is, I am going to keep talking about our relationship with money (because we don't talk about it enough), and I am going to focus the remainder of this year specifically on debt reduction and wealth building strategies that are aligned with biblical principles on stewardship, purpose, and values
Anyone who knows me, knows my faith is what guides and centers my life. But truthfully, I have not always made decisions, especially, financial decisions that have been aligned with my faith, purpose or values. And, this disconnect is one of the things I realized during my time of prayer, is the issue for many of the people I am called to coach. Rather than make financial decisions that are aligned, you are making decisions that block your flow and progression. I have learned this lesson the hard way!
Going forward, each "Virtual Mocha Money Meet Up" will include a guided conversation by me or a guest speaker on a range of topics from debt reduction to wealth building strategies, followed by an inspirational speaker, who will focus on the topic we discussed. The idea is to provide you with both practical resources and the spiritual encouragement you will need for your journey.
To start things off, on 7/18/20, our topic will be "Releasing the Builder" and my mentor, Apostle Angie Leslie will be with us to share the importance of positioning for release. What have you been called to build for your family, community and the Kingdom? Whether you are ready to move forward or you are trying to figure out your next step, join us for what I believe will be a powerful time.
