February Money Faith & Finance Tip
What Is Your Generational Money Story?
Isaiah 43:19 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"
"Praise God we no longer have to be bound to the financial mistakes of the past. With Him we can begin again!” - Salathia Johnson, The Faith and Finance Coach
Action: Today, dig a little deeper and recall your earliest childhood memory about money. This is important because early experiences have helped to shape your money personality, and have an impact on your present day financial decisions.
Journal about your earliest memory. What was happening around you? How did your parents or caregivers respond and how did it make you feel? What did you walk away believing about money? What messages about money did you receive?
Prayer Focus: Spend time today praying about the generational thoughts and financial behaviors you would like to change, and decide what you would like to pass on to the next generation.
